KFI Studios Introduces Hum Table Collection: A Soft-Spoken Foundation for the Daily Rhythm of Work

KFI Studios announces the launch of Hum, a new table collection designed in collaboration with Union Design. Created to support the energy and everyday cadence of modern workplaces, Hum brings together visually soft forms, material warmth, and versatile functionality across lounge, meeting, and conference environments.

Named for the constant background rhythm of office life, Hum recognizes that much of that activity happens around tables. The collection balances this high-energy setting with softened tabletop shapes and an upholstered pedestal base, creating an approachable, grounded presence that feels both comfortable and refined.

“We were interested in designing a table that acknowledges the constant motion and noise of the workplace, but doesn’t add to it,” said Jeff Theesfeld, founder of Union Design. “Its soft geometry and upholstered base create a sense of calm, so it can quietly support collaboration and focus.”

Hum’s fully upholstered base is available in a wide range of graded-in textiles, including woven, coated, and leather options, as well as COM, allowing designers to tailor the collection to a variety of applications and aesthetics.

The collection includes:

• Occasional tables in two heights: 16″ and 20″, with round and soft square tops
• Meeting and conference tables at a standard 30″ height, offered in round, soft square and rectangle, triangle, and line-of-sight shapes in multiple sizes

Tabletop options are equally flexible. Wood tops feature a softened edge profile and are available in seven stains: Natural, Timber, Coffee, Black, Clay, Navy, and Evergreen. Solid surface tops are offered with a bullnose edge in five colors: Designer White, Glacier White, Cameo White, Bisque, and Dove. Laminate tops are available with a square or knife edge in 26 standard Wilsonart colors.

To support today’s connected workstyles, Hum offers multiple integrated power options, including standard power outlets and USB charging ports. All bases feature a central cable management pathway while triangular and line-of-sight tables feature a magnetic panel for easy access to internal storage areas for cables and A/V equipment. When multiple bases are used, a hollow beam connects them providing a pathway to neatly manage cables and provide additional locations for power units.

With its thoughtful mix of calming aesthetics, functionality, and material flexibility, Hum provides a versatile platform for collaboration, conversation, and the everyday moments that define the workplace.
